The Rochester International Film Festival, the world’s oldest continuously-held short film festival, has been produced each year since 1959 by Movies on a Shoestring, Inc. Each festival includes a wide variety of narrative films, documentaries, and animations submitted by independent filmmakers from all parts of the world.

All filmmakers are invited to submit entries for consideration. Each film selected for the festival is awarded our distinctive Shoestring Trophy. Since films are made to be seen, we offer appreciative, movie-wise audiences to view your work at the Dryden Theatre, George Eastman House International Museum of Film and Photography in Rochester, NY.

The Best of the Fest, RIFF’s permanent traveling collection, includes the most popular films from previous festivals based on audience surveys taken at each show. Films from this collection may be borrowed for non commercial use.

The Bram Stoker International Film Festival provides attendees with the opportunity to view a diverse selection of feature film premieres and innovative short films in a theatrical setting. Genres include horror, sci-fi, fantasy, action, animation. Local filmmakers are also featured.

The Short Shorts Film Festival will celebrate its 12th anniversary this year!  The festival dates in Tokyo are June 10-20, 2010, then the festival will continue its annual National and International Tour.

In 1999 the Short Shorts Film Festival was established in Harajuku, Tokyo in order to introduce Japanese audiences to the world of short films, and has since taken 7 national tours with more than 140,000 audience members.

The festival Grand Prix winner will be selected from the three Best Short Award winners (one from each category: International, Asia International and Japan ), and will become eligible to be nominated for an Academy Award.

Arizona’s largest film festival will be held April 8 to April 15, 2010 at Harkins Scottsdale/101. The International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography PLUS CAMERIMAGE is the greatest and most recognized festival dedicated to the art of cinematography and its creators – cinematographers. It is held annually in Lodz, the second biggest city in Poland, the capital of the Polish cinema. PLUS CAMERIMAGE contributes to the growth of cinematographers’ prestige. The unconventional format of the Festival, which awards films according to their visual, aesthetic and technical values, has turned out to be an alternative for traditional film festivals. As all our guests emphasize - PLUS CAMERIMAGE is unique. The Festival proves to be a great forum not only for presentation but also for further development of international moviemaking. The Saugatuck Center for the Arts (SCA) was founded in 2001 by a group of community members in Saugatuck, Michigan. The group turned a renovated pie factory into the home of year-round program of high quality arts programming.
